Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an interesting history to the Cambodia gambling halls that sit just across the dividing line from neighboring Thailand, in which gambling den gambling is not allowed. Eight casinos are based in a relatively tiny location in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This conclave of Cambodia casinos is in a prime destination, a three to 4 hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular betting centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai laborers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The amazing capital acquired from the gambling dens ranges from $7.5 million to more than 12.5 million, and there are a number of limitations constraints for gambling den ownership. Ownership is presumed to be largely Thai; however, investment sources are ambiguous. The borders are ceremoniously open from 0900 to 1700, and despite the fact visas are for all intents and purposes required to cross, there are ways around this, as is correct of most border crossings.

The original Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving only one gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary barge casino, highlights 150 slot machines and 60 gaming tables. The Naga casino never closes with forty two tables of mini-baccarat, 4 tables of 21, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The first casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown before long opened. There are one hundred and fifty slots and five tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four one armed bandits and 68 gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains three hundred slot machines and 70 tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and 96 gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat chemin de fer (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machine games and sixty six of the normal table games, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the eight gambling halls in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slots and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a comprehensive resort and hotel building that contains numerous luxuries in addition to the gambling den, which offers 10,000 square feet of one hundred and thirty slot machines and 88 tables.
